Macklin

Macklin was the perfect 1st puppy.  He was very easy going, eager to please, and a very quick learner.  We got Macklin when he was 9 weeks old, and he returned for training at the age of 18 months. Macklin was a working dog from the start, and he was happiest when going out and about.  Macklin especially loved shopping, and going to busy places like street fairs.  However he did not like water, and was one of our few Labradors that didn't jump right in at the beach.

Some of the highlights of raising Macklin were a christmas trip to Disneyland, walking the strip in Las Vegas, and watching him graduate to become a guide.  Another great memory was Macklin being present at our wedding rehearsal.

Macklin taught us what it means to be a puppy raiser, and showed us what a difference a service dog can make in someone's life. The experience we had with Macklin helped us decide to keep raising more puppies.
